About Fired Up Pizza

Fired Up Pizza was born in the most unlikely of moments. In May 2020, with Ireland in the grip of a pandemic and much of the country out of work, founders did what few dared. They started a restaurant. Two repurposed shipping containers, a wood-fired oven, and a spot outside The Goat bar in Goatstown, Dublin became the unlikely origin story of one of the city’s most-loved pizza brands.

What Was Holding Them Back

Growth is a good problem to have, until the systems holding everything together start to crack. For Fired Up Pizza, the pressure showed up in two places: the kitchen and the road.

Deliveries were going out one by one. Drivers were costly, routes weren’t being grouped, and the manual effort required to coordinate even a modest number of orders was eating into margin and morale alike. In the kitchen, the operation had quietly hit a ceiling. A hard cap on how many pizzas could go out at peak, driven by the chaos of orders landing with no clear system to manage them.

The previous tech provider wasn’t helping. Bugs in the customer app were a regular occurrence, and Peter had exhausted his search across the UK and the US before finding Boss It.

The shift to Boss It changed the way Fired Up Pizza runs at every level. The Delivery Waiting Room was the first thing Peter noticed. Instead of sending drivers out on single runs, the team can now see all live deliveries on a map, group them intelligently, and fire batched orders directly to the KDS. Drivers go out fuller. Wage costs came down significantly. And because orders are colour-coded through to the kitchen, chefs know exactly what they’re making, in what sequence, and what’s going out together.

In the kitchen, the KDS removed the ceiling entirely. The hard limit on pizza output that once defined the operation is gone. More orders, fresher product, faster out the door. The bottleneck that was quietly capping Fired Up Pizza’s growth has been eliminated.

For customers, the Boss It app has delivered what the old provider couldn’t: reliability. No crashes, no bugs, and a loyalty points system that has driven genuine engagement. The feedback, in Peter’s words, has been phenomenal.

What Comes Next

Fired Up Pizza isn’t slowing down. With the operational constraints removed and a platform that keeps evolving, Peter and the team are in a position they weren’t before; able to take on more volume, serve more customers, and look at further growth with confidence rather than caution. The infrastructure that once held them back is no longer a limiting factor. It’s a foundation.
